Flavanoids

Flavonoids are a diverse group of polyphenolic compounds found in plants, imparting color to fruits and flowers. They exhibit a range of therapeutic properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer effects. For example, baicalein, a flavonoid derived from the roots of Scutellaria baicalensis (Chinese skullcap), has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties. Additionally, naringenin, found in the fruit of Morus alba (white mulberry), has been studied for its antioxidant and anti-diabetic effects.
